5 stars in the crash tests.

Image
The VW twins, the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun   scored  5 stars in the Global NCAP crash test. Indians have consistently praised both the Kushaq & Taigun for feeling safe and solid and now it's backed up by the G-NCAP crash tests. The Kushaq and Taigun scored 29.64 out of 34 points (for adult occupant safety) and 42 out of 49 points (for child occupant safety).  Global NCAP has rehauled its testing protocols and now also tests the side impact on vehicles.  Additionally, it also requires vehicles to have electronic stability control (ESC) as standard on all vehicles. Five stars for the MQB-AO-IN SUVs that were engineered for India without any safety or structural compromises. Another shot in the arm for the #safercarsforIndia campaign. Buy Safer Cars! Would you prefer safety over features?  Also, Is the   Global NCAP trustworthy? (A topic for another day!) Let us know in the comments. >>
